Run by the same family since 1334, Romantik Spa Hotel Elixhauser Wirt is Austria’s oldest family-run hotel.
The 4.9 ft² spa area offers panoramic views and features an indoor pool with an open fireplace, a Finnish herbal sauna, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and a relaxation area. There is a separate zone for ladies with a bio sauna and a steam bath.
A daily program of activities is offered, and individual personal training is possible. Guests can rent high-quality racing bicycles on site.
From May to September, the hotel features an outdoor pool with a big sunbathing lawn.

Take the A1 motorway and exit at Salzburg Nord (Bergheim OST) toward Braunau/Bergheim/Trumer Seengebiet. Follow B156 (Lamprechtshausener Strasse) and pass the Brandboxx convention centre on the right. After ~1 km, go straight at the roundabout onto Mattseer Landesstrasse. After ~4 km, you’ll reach Elixhausen. The Romantik Spa Hotel Elixhauser Wirt is in the village centre.
Arrival by Train & Bus:
Take a train to Salzburg main station, then bus line 120 to Elixhausen (~20 min, ~€2.40). The hotel is in the centre of the village.
